Our IVF Success Rates

Defining IVF success used to be relatively simple. What was the chance of delivering a baby after an egg retrieval and immediate transfer of an embryo derived from that retrieval? As IVF technology has become more sophisticated there are more treatment options with different successes associated with each option.

The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) has published the national and clinic-specific success rates. In an effort to provide more nuanced information to aid in your decision making, data are presented from many perspectives. You may now find success rates for one retrieval, one fresh retrieval plus all subsequent frozen embryo transfers referable to that retrieval, success rates per patient not per retrieval or transfer, the average number of retrievals to delivery, and more subcategories.

A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics, treatment approaches, and entrance criteria for ART may vary from clinic to clinic. Data source: SART
